Even as a little boy Jon loved riding in the truck box, I think he liked the feel of the wind whipping by on his face. And of course a truck box usually carries interesting things. When someone arrives on his yard Jon quickly makes his way over to check out the truck box. And if he finds anything to his liking he will most likely try to claim it as his own.
Here he is checking out Dad's truck and found a tarp strap. I think he is trying to negotiate with Dad.
Note: It took till photo #7 before he would look at me:) Dad is out of the picture so I think a deal was struck..Jon wins again:)
We smiled at this post. It reminded Terry of the last time the farm hand was over and was playing with a bungee cord which he hooked onto the rung o the grarage door and pressed the button at the same time. Fortunately for him, grandpa was close by and rescued him as he was being lifted by his belt loops.
ReplyDeleteChuckling here..I can imagine the look on the farm hand's face:)
DeleteWhat you call the truck box we call the truck bed. Trucks and guys! They just go together...
ReplyDeleteProbably is called the truck bed here too:)
DeleteI agree - in our family, a truck is a required vehicle and will always take preference over a car.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if he was purposely ignoring the camera lady. This was his time with Dad!
ReplyDeleteI love his orange shirt :) and he looks right at home with his dad and truck....men and trucks they just go together somehow :)
ReplyDeleteLooks quite relaxed sitting on the truck box!!

ReplyDeleteI love the details that interest him. And yet he looks so proud sitting their on his Dad's truck.
ReplyDeleteha ha ha...never enter into negotiations with your children after the age of two...you will never win! Sorry John! Way to go Jon, hope you enjoy your new tarp strap!
